Charlene is a GIA Graduate Gemologist since 1982, with over 50 years in the jewelry business. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts as well as a Master of Art. In 2014 she relocated Rees Jewelry to historic downtown Nacogdoches where she specializes in appraisals.

 

Scott Runnels

Marketing Director

Scott has his Master of Fine Arts and is an art professor at SFA. He is very creative minded which makes designing our billboards and TV ads a perfect fit for him!

 

Joshua Rasmussen

Lead Goldsmith

Joshua attended SFA where he studied jewelry. He is an extremely talented, self-taught, jeweler who cares about each and every piece entrusted to him. From complicated repairs to custom carved waxes and casting, he does it all! He keeps the shop operations flowing to ensure your repairs and custom creations are completed in a timely manner. 

 

Melanie Mettlen

Operations Manager/ GIA Graduate Diamond Grader

Melanie is a passionate Operations Manager with over a decade of experience, dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences. She is a GIA Diamond Graduate Grader and is currently pursuing further studies at the Gemological Institute of America to become a Graduate Gemologist. She is also certified by the Diamond Council of America in Jewelry Sales and Diamonds.

Melanie blends deep expertise with a genuine love for helping clients discover the perfect piece. She offers expert guidance, ensuring each client feels valued and confident in their choice. Whether it's finding the right gem or creating a memorable buying experience, Melanie is committed to excellence and personalized service.
